Fujairah Digital Library Showcases Latest Technologies at GITEX, Strengthening Its Digital Presence

The Fujairah Digital Library’s booth at “GITEX Global 2024” attracted significant interest from visitors, as the library participated under the Fujairah Government platform. This participation is part of the library’s ongoing efforts to enhance Fujairah’s position as a leading hub for innovation and knowledge by providing advanced cultural and informational services that meet community needs and align with the latest technological advancements.
Prof. Ghassan Al-Qaimari, The Chancellor, stated that the library continuously seeks to adopt the latest technologies that support innovation and development, offering quick and efficient solutions for accessing knowledge resources. He added that participating in “GITEX” presents a unique opportunity to showcase the library’s latest technologies and key initiatives, aiming to introduce the public to its digital services, activities, and ongoing events that contribute to developing sustainable solutions in the knowledge sector in collaboration with partners from both the public and private sectors.
During the exhibition, a detailed presentation of the library’s digital services was provided, attended by senior officials from the Government of Fujairah and other Emirates, as well as numerous exhibition visitors. They were introduced to the latest technologies and digital initiatives offered by the library that contribute to advancing digital transformation in the knowledge sector.
As part of the exhibition’s closing day activities, the library organized a panel discussion titled “Digital Transformation Towards Smarter Services for a Better Life,” presented by faculty members from the College of Information Technology at Fujairah University. The session highlighted the importance of artificial intelligence and digital transformation in improving the quality of life and delivering smarter, more flexible government services. The event witnessed a large turnout and active participation from specialists and interested visitors at “GITEX.”
