Associate Professor of Sociology, Dr. Al-Matalka currently serves as a faculty member and Acting Dean at the College of Arts and Humanities, University of Fujairah. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Rajasthan University, India, and has over 25 years of academic, administrative, and social development experience across the UAE and Jordan. His teaching portfolio spans diverse courses in sociology, social work, and criminology. Dr. Al-Matalka's research focuses on pressing social issues including youth delinquency, domestic violence, drug abuse, family dynamics, and the societal impacts of crime and unemployment. He has published extensively in Arabic and international journals and actively contributes to professional development, social policy discourse, and community engagement.
