The University of Fujairah, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Prevention, organized an awareness workshop on the "Hayat" program, the UAE's national organ donation and transplant initiative, at the university's campus.
The workshop was led by Dr. Shaima Mohammed Al-Hafiti, who highlighted the importance of organ donation, the donation procedures, and the positive impact of the "Hayat" program on individuals and society. The session witnessed active engagement from students and faculty members who participated enthusiastically in discussions and Q&A sessions.
The "Hayat" program aims to promote a culture of organ donation in the UAE and provide new opportunities for patients suffering from organ failure. It is part of the nation's efforts to enhance the quality of healthcare and improve the health and well-being of the community.
This workshop aligns with the University of Fujairah's ongoing efforts to promote health awareness among students and the broader community while supporting national initiatives contributing to sustainable development.
The workshop was organized under Dr. Sherine Badawi, Ms. Lamia Hussein, and Mr. Moamen Odeh, faculty members at the University of Fujairah.
