Participation of the College of Information Technology in GITEX 2024 with a Panel Discussion on Digital Transformation
The College of Information Technology participated in GITEX 2024 in coordination with the Department of Finance in Fujairah and Fujairah Digital Library by organizing a panel discussion titled “Digital Transformation Towards Smarter Services for a Better Life.” The session was held on the final day of the exhibition, featuring Dr. Ahmed Khalifa, the Dean of the College, along with Dr. Sufian Al-Khawaldeh and Dr. Yousef Qawwaqzeh from the faculty.
The session addressed the vital role of the College of Information Technology in supporting digital transformation efforts. Dr. Ahmed Khalifa discussed the key factors for ensuring data security and citizen privacy amid the shift towards smart services, as well as the development of the digital infrastructure needed to support an integrated digital government system.
Dr. Sufian Al-Khawaldeh highlighted the importance of digital innovation in reshaping government services in Fujairah, providing practical examples of smart services that enhance the quality of life in the community.
In the same context, Dr. Yousef Qawwaqzeh elaborated on the role of data analysis and artificial intelligence in improving the delivery of public services, emphasizing the need to engage citizens to ensure the successful implementation of these services and make them accessible to all segments of society.
This participation reaffirms the commitment of the College of Information Technology to actively contribute to modern digital transformations and support the nation’s vision for improving government services through technology.
