“Trusted Source” Launches Its First Event at Lulu Mall Amid Strong Public Engagement
The “Trusted Source” campaign team launched the first event of their campaign at Lulu Mall in Fujairah, where the campaign’s activities and objectives were introduced to a large audience. The event focused on raising public awareness about the importance of sourcing information from official sources, verifying the credibility of online platforms and social media accounts, and understanding how to handle fake news and fraudulent accounts.
The campaign team, comprised of students Amal Al-Qaidi, Reem Ibrahim, and Ahmed Al-Tijani, reported high interest from the target audience, organizing an informational booth with educational and entertainment activities aimed at young people and children. Souvenirs were distributed, and the event received a warm welcome from the attendees, who expressed the importance of the campaign’s message and goals.
The campaign also held an event at the University of Fujairah, introducing the campaign’s objectives and activities to students, faculty, and administrative staff. The emphasis was on fostering awareness about obtaining information from trusted sources, avoiding fake news, and developing verification skills in the digital age.
The campaign will continue to organize awareness activities at various locations, aiming to reach as many beneficiaries as possible.
