The College of Communication at UOF Hosts “Zayed Radio for the Holy Quran”

The College of Communication at UOF organized a campaign to celebrate Zayed Radio for the Holy Quran, which is considered one of the most important religious radio stations in the Arab world. In a short period, it has managed to reach the hearts and ears of a wide audience locally and internationally.

As part of the campaign activities, Dr. Hakam Zriqat, the General Manager of the radio, was welcomed along with a distinguished delegation of radio presenters and producers, in the presence of Prof. Ghassan Al Qaimari, the University Chancellor. Prof. Al Qaimari expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the team for achieving numerous international achievements and awards in various Arab and international competitions. He also praised the radio’s content, its message of tolerant Islam, and the dissemination of the words of the Almighty through its broadcasts, which began years ago from the heart of the Emirate of Fujairah.

Dr. Robin Kabha, the supervisor of the “Thank you, Zayed Radio” campaign, stated that the campaign is one of the graduation projects for students of the College of Public Communication. The student Nawal Mohammed Al Zanhani chose the theme of the campaign to celebrate and honor the media team at the radio station and to highlight its journey of success and excellence since its inception.

The campaign activities included a meeting between students and faculty members of the College of Communication and the radio team, led by Dr. Hakam Zriqat. During a scientific lecture to the students of the college, Dr. Zriqat explained the radio’s journey, its key programs, and what distinguishes it from other radio stations. He also provided advice to students on preparing radio programs and encouraged them to embrace creativity and social responsibility in their media productions.

Furthermore, the faculty team of the College of Communication discussed with the radio team the next stages of the campaign, which aim to transfer the radio team’s experiences to the college students and provide more opportunities for joint training.
