Highness Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi visits the “Fujairah Digital Library” building and emphasizes the importance of cultural projects in supporting the knowledge sector in the UAE.
His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, member of the Supreme Council, ruler of Fujairah, emphasized the importance of cultural projects and the role they play in enhancing the knowledge and cultural sector in the UAE, which embodies the educational and intellectual movement as a fundamental supporter in shaping the future of generations.
This came during his visit to the Fujairah Digital Library building, accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, coinciding with the Month of Reading celebrated by the country during March of each year, which reinforces the importance of reading and contributes to building a society armed with knowledge and science, a reading society that has the ability to continue on the path of development.
His Highness praised the efforts made in this knowledge monument, which has become today the cultural gateway and its intellectual beacon, and one of its most important cultural projects at the level of the UAE, noting that the Emirate of Fujairah is moving in accordance with this system by providing high-level cultural proposals.
His Highness toured the corners of the library, which in his vision holds a generation armed with reading, and includes cultural educational spaces allocated for all segments of society, giving visitors and readers a distinctive cultural experience in its facilities and between its shelves, through more than 3 million paper and digital reference titles and research.
His Excellency Said bin Mohammed Al Raqbani, Special Advisor to His Highness the Ruler of Fujairah, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Fujairah, praised the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Fujairah and the support of His Highness the Crown Prince for the scientific and knowledge movement, which will enhance reading, enrich the culture of society, increase its awareness, and support creators of intellectuals, scientists, and researchers, pointing out that the new building is a home for all knowledge seekers and learners.
The opening was attended by His Excellency Mohammed Saeed Al Dhanhani, Director of the Fujairah Diwan, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zayed, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, members of the Board of Trustees, the University Director, Deputy University Director, deans of colleges, and a number of intellectuals and researchers.
